Stader Labs, a company building decentralized financial protocols and applications for efficient stake management on public blockchain networks, has announced its intention to launch on Hedera. The company also announced that it received a development grant from the HBAR Foundation. Stader will enable staking for HBAR holders.

Stader is building key staking smart contract infrastructure for the Hedera network, enabling network users to stake their assets conveniently and safely through its platform. Through grant support from the HBAR foundation, Stader staking will launch on Hedera early in Q2. Stader will become the first project to bring staking to Hedera.

Hedera's approach to implementing decentralized ledger technology is unique and its focus on making transactions on the network fast, secure and energy efficient resonates with Stader’s purpose to expand the use of PoS networks to the next billion users. The HBAR Foundation is focused on furthering scalable adoption through the use of Stader as a middleware staking partner within the Hedera ecosystem.

Stader is a multi-product platform which offers options for different customer segments to participate in staking. Users can further participate in different DeFi protocols by leveraging liquid tokens for borrowing or providing liquidity. In the future, Stader will enable third parties to leverage the components for modular smart contracts to build custom solutions.
