SIKI, a multimedia, multi-blockchain NFT creation engine and marketplace which allows users to stream NFT music, live streams and post within a social network, recently announced its plans for an April 2022 Beta launch on the Hedera network with support from the HBAR Foundation.

SIKI equips users with all the tools to connect and engage with each other and their favorite artists and provides multiple streams of revenue for artists and curators. SIKI Music NFT royalties are higher than on traditional platforms and are paid per stream. Songs, artists and playlists also can receive tips on the SIKI platform.

Artists and curators are able to make their own subscription-based content pages on SIKI allowing them to share premium content with subscribers. Artists and curators are able to sell their music NFTs which also represent platform royalties. SIKI’s multi-blockchain marketplace showcases NFTs for buyers and sellers to collect music, playlist, artwork, ticket and merchandise NFTs.

SIKI places a strong emphasis on community. Each playlist has its own unique domain NFT and chat room, enabling users to form discussions and build relationships from within SIKI. Communities are expected to form around different genres and artists, creating a space for music lovers across the globe. The curator of the playlist and its community then has the opportunity to sell it as an NFT.

After reaching out to many different parties, the SIKI team chose to work with the HBAR Foundation because of the team’s ability to accelerate development, time to market and awareness. The relationship and support has only strengthened as SIKI has moved from concept to a live platform. Building on Hedera’s green and fast network was a clear choice for SIKI because the network’s consistent low network fees allow for true micropayments that are necessary for this kind of use case.

At its core SIKI is an NFT creation engine. The SIKI team has developed an extremely user-friendly way to create music NFTs, serving as an attractive and fun gateway for the broader public to experience crypto without even realizing it. Artists will be able to be a part of this exciting NFT space without having to pay exorbitantly high gas fees, which has been a barrier to entry for most artists before SIKI. Anyone interested can follow the Beta launch by joining the SIKI Discord channel.
